On April 29, 1429, Joan of Arc, The Maid of Orleans, arrived at Orleans wearing the armor of a knight to lead the battle to lift the Siege of Orleans.
On April 29, 1483, the Kingdom of Castile captured the main island of the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria, leading to Spanish ownership of the islands to this day.

On April 29, 2011, the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton took place at Westminster Abbey in London, United Kingdom.
On April 29, 2015, the Baltimore Orioles hosted the Chicago White Sox for one of the most bizarre major league baseball games of all time, one at Camden Yards in which no fans were permitted to attend!
On April 29, 2017, at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, Anthony Joshua set a post-war crowd attendance record for boxing when becoming the unified heavyweight champion of the world.
On Thursday, April 29, 2021, Amazon Studios had a virtual screening of Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse at 7:00PM.
