A Brief History
On April 1, 2015, Ashland’s Hidden Realms opened for business. The store started out of a desire to give people that love Retro games and anime a place to buy affordable and hard to find items in a brick and mortar store. With the hope to provide a welcoming atmosphere, something other than the internet, the workers of Hidden Realms still do their best to uphold that idea today.

The store has an extensive inventory of everything from comic books to video games for sale as seen in the photo slide show below.
The history of home video games goes all the way back to 1972’s Magnavox Odyssey. Over the course of the past nearly fifty years, such companies as Atari, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sega, and Sony have manufactured millions of home video game consoles enjoyed by countless people around the world. Those of us who grew up playing games on these no longer manufactured devices, nevertheless look back fondly on our past experiences playing with friends and family alike. Such stores as Ashland’s Hidden Realms allow us an opportunity to take a journey of sorts back to our youth and to introduce the current generation of gamers to the classics from a not too distant past!
