Six Best Career Choices for a Virgo

    Virgo

    A Brief History

From 1990 and until 2062, from approximately September 16 to October 30, the Sun transits the constellation of Virgo.  If you are a Virgo, you know you can be an insufferable perfectionist, often at the cost of sour relationships at home. Your ‘high standards’ drives people nuts and sometimes against you. Having said that, the quality of work is out there for everyone to see and there is good reason why your work might be recognized and lauded. The rationale behind this happening is because of your being analytical. Sometimes at the cost of your peace of mind. All this means that you would have to meticulously select a career choice to ensure there is some reward for your overtly analytical behavior and your self-loathing when you are not able to meet the high standards you set for yourself:

    Digging Deeper

    1-Tax Auditor

Because of your compulsive attention to detail, this can count as one of the best professions for you. This trait is because Virgo’s ruling house being the 6th house: one of routine. It is little wonder that you like structure and planning, both of which are a great plus when it comes to tax auditing. Virgos love investing and getting their investments right. Shallow as it may seem, you are stingy to invest even if it involves the safety of your loved ones but that is not a weakness. As in, when it comes to this profession, that is a strength. Virgos tend to show passive aggressive behavior towards your wife or girlfriend by telling her how much you have spent for food and shelter. While this certainly has to be avoided, the behavior goes on to show how much adept Virgos will be for this profession.

    2-Engineer

All earth signs have very good chances of becoming engineers. Virgo more so because of their analytical prowess, so to speak. An Engineer’s work involves analysis and making things work. The Virgo career horoscope justifies how being that painful perfectionist comes in handy here. As an engineer, you have the duty of doing things efficiently and ensuring the product you are behind is both aesthetically and functionally sound. As a Virgo, you tend to ensure attention to both these details.

    3-Nutritionist

A Virgo’s shades are brown and green: the colors that are ubiquitous and that are synonymous with harvest. You might even say that the brown hue signifies wheat and the green represents a sign of growth. Naturally hence, Virgos relate to professions relating to food.  That is why becoming a Nutritionist could be very rewarding for Virgos. They would explore every little nook and cranny of nutrition magazines, work with numbers, establish relationships with their customers easily (though it might only be superficial) and see great success in this profession.

    4-Pro Housecleaner

Here again, a Monica level obsession (Friends reference of course) for cleanliness makes them great Housekeepers. They could either start small or probably head a company which deals with contracts in Housekeeping. Add to this their penchant for analytics and they make excellent Pro Housecleaning managers.

    5-Executive Assistant

Earth signs, both men and women, make excellent Executive Assistants. Virgos are no exception. Their innate need to plan and execute their plans meticulously makes them excellent secretaries and assistants. If you are thinking about Harvey, the assistant of Ari Gold in Entourage or Donna, former assistant and now wife (oops, spoiler alert!) of Harvey Specter (did you notice the curious coincidence!) in Suits, it should not surprise you if they were both Virgos.

    6-Welding Technician

You might wonder what a welding technician does. A welding technician is the liaison between a welder and an engineer. In many ways, he implements the engineer’s ideas in the welding process. You can say that the welding technician optimizes the process of welding for his engineer. While the welder’s job involves working with different materials and delivering the end product with finesse, the welding technician’s job is more oriented with the process of welding. Is the temperature set right, are there enough fillers for tomorrow, is the welder healthy and well, will the process see out its success, everything related to planning on the floor is done by the welding technician. It is little wonder that the profession has been in vogue for almost 200 years now. The ability of Virgos to easily forge relationships also complements their inclination towards process planning.

Besides the above-mentioned career choices, a Virgo can also consider options like System Analyst, Statistician, Naturopath (a bit dicey career option here but it is there), Archivist and the like. Whatever the career choices they take, they would most likely excel in because of the planning that goes behind. The only place where they have to focus on is their passive aggression that happens when people do not meet their sometimes-narrow minded expectations. A Virgo would do well to do away with this singularly destructive trait.

“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad." "How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.” ― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
