A Brief History
Turns out Khzir Khan, the irate grieving father of a slain American hero (his son was an Army captain that died heroically in the line of duty in Iraq) may have more motivation to attack Donald Trump than merely sticking up for Muslims.
Digging Deeper
Mr. Khan, a Muslim immigrant from Pakistan, spoke at the Democratic National Convention and spoke emotionally about his son, an Army captain awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart while being killed in combat while saving the lives of other soldiers, and severely chastised Trump for his call to ban Muslim immigrants to the US. (In fairness to Trump, The Donald actually only called for a ban until our citizens can be assured the government is screening such Islamic immigrants well enough to preclude terrorists from hiding among the others.) Khan went on to question whether Trump had ever read the US Constitution as well.
A highly insulted Donald Trump fired back that although Khan’s son was a hero, Khan had no reason to attack Trump. Trump’s fumbling of the public opinion factors involved contributed to tremendous backlash against the Republican candidate, including repudiation by his own party members.
Well, it seems Mr. Khan may have an ulterior motive for attacking Trump on the Muslim immigration issue, as Khan makes his living as a lawyer that facilitates the immigration of Muslims into the US, and of course a ban on Muslim immigration would largely put Khan out of business! Additionally, conservative sources such as Breitbart (see here for more information) reported that Khan has previously written about his support of Islamic (Sharia) Law and how it should be implemented even in non-Islamic countries. (Allegations of Khan being an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood have not been verified.) Furthermore, it was reported Khan had ties to the Clinton’s and the Clinton Foundation and had legally represented various Islamic countries.
Yes, it is true Donald Trump did not serve in the military, nor did his children, and on top of that Trump sought and received exemptions from being drafted. It is however, also true that neither Bill or Hillary Clinton served in the military, nor did their daughter, and that Bill Clinton likewise avoided the draft. Yet, only Trump’s lack of “sacrifice” is being attacked. Meanwhile, Khan makes his living off getting Muslims and their business to the US, a living threatened by Donald Trump, making Mr. Khan’s attack on Trump seem quite partisan.
