A Brief History On October 19, 2016, just a few hours ago, the Cleveland Indians won the American League Pennant (Championship) and earned a ticket to the World Series against either the LA Dodgers or the Chicago Cubs, starting Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Beating the Toronto Blue Jays 4 games to 1 (finishing with a 3-0 shut out) after beating the Boston Red Sox 3 games to 0 put an intimidating stamp on the playoffs. A Brief History On October 16, 1972, a Cessna 310 light airplane carrying Congressman Nick Begich (D-Alaska) and Congressman Hale Boggs (D-Louisiana) along with the pilot and Begich’s aide disappeared on a flight from Anchorage to Juneau.
