Digging Deeper
To reserve a spot for the online screening you must click on the link at http://focusfeaturesscreenings.com/H&HGO0520 which takes you right to the redeem pass page. Then you log in or sign up (which takes a minute if you do not have a Focus Feature’s TicktBox account) to get the virtual pass. The night of the screening you get an email from Focus Features Screenings at 6:30pm, 1 hour before the screening to log into the movie (wait in a virtual waiting room – so you can walk away for an hour) and then the movie starts at 7:30pm. It is that easy and the system explains the steps.
The film was written and directed by Thomas Bezucha, is based on the novel Let Him Go by Larry Watson, was produced by Paul Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan, and stars Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Lesley Manville, Jeffrey Donovan, Kayli Carter, Booboo Stewart, and Will Brittain. The adult thriller film has a running time of 113 minutes and is rated R.
The film depicts how following the loss of their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Costner) and his wife Margaret (Lane) leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson from the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, headed by matriarch Blanche Weboy (Manville). When they discover that the Weboys have no intention of letting the child go, George and Margaret are left with no choice but to fight for their family.
Let Him Go will open in theaters on November 6th.
