In Focus Features’ explosive psychological thriller Bugonia, two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. The film stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone. Bugonia is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite).
Bugonia is scheduled to have a limited released in the United States on October 24, 2025, followed by a wide release on October 31, 2025. This film is rated R by the Motion Picture Association for the following reasons: “bloody violent content including a suicide, grisly images, and language.”
