Digging Deeper
Anyway, as for the somewhat more human fighter, a former Cage Rage and EliteXC heavyweight champion, the massive Silva (6 foot 4 inches tall and weighing 264 pounds) faces the almost equally massive former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Frank Mir (6 foot 3 inches tall and weighing 261 pounds) at UFC Fight Night 61 in Brazil this evening on Fox Sports 1 in the United States of America.
As mixed martial arts (MMA) fans of our site know, there have been a number of drug abuse scandals rocking the MMA world lately. Bigfoot Silva is no stranger to such controversy. He previously tested positive for boldenone in 2008 after winning the EliteXC heavyweight champion and then tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone in 2013. Question for students (and subscribers): Should someone who has failed two drugs tests still be permitted to continue competing? Please let us know what you think in the comments section below this article.
