Science fiction film fans, here is your chance to be among the first in Ohio to see The Vast of Night on Friday, May 15th or Saturday, May 16th, 2020 in Cleveland (Mayfield Road Drive-In Theatre) or Ravenna (Midway Drive-In Theater)! Showtimes are for a double feature as follows: Vast of Night at 9 PM and then Super 8 at 10:40 PM. For your chance to get a free pass, please send an email message to admin@historyandheadlines.com. Please include the following information in your message: your first and last name, your email address, which theater and showtime/date you would like to attend, and your cell phone number. Please have the film’s title as the message’s subject. Please send the message by noon on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. One winner will be chosen for each night at random after noon on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Winners will be notified by email. Each winning pass is valid for one car. Parking is first-come, first-served and is not guaranteed. Saving spaces for other parties is prohibited.
Digging Deeper
In The Vast of Night, switchboard operator Fay and radio DJ Everett are two teenagers from Cayuga, New Mexico, investigating a strange audio frequency coming through the radio. The film takes place over the course of one night in the 1950s, with the story framed as an episode of Paradox Theatre, a Twilight Zone-style anthology television series.
Directed by Andrew Patterson, The Vast of Night stars Sierra McCormick as Fay Crocker and Jake Horowitz as Everett. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States of America on May 15, 2020 by Amazon Studios .
