A Brief History On October 7, 2018, the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League ended their incredible run of ineptness by finally winning a game on a Sunday, after losing 36 consecutive Sunday football games dating back to December of 2015! The victory did not come easy, as the Browns pulled off the historic win by making a field goal in overtime, winning 12-9. The Browns had previously ended their 17 game losing streak that stretched 635 days by tying the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-21 in overtime in the 2018 season opening game. A Brief History On October 4, 2018, we are still recovering from the eye-candy comic book film fest that is Venom, the latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We went to review the film with reservations based on rumbles of previous reviewers having expressed less than glowing tales of the film. We heard that 30 minutes or more had been cut from the final print, leaving a choppy and disjointed movie. NOT TRUE! A Brief History On September 21, 2018, the new Comedy/Horror film, Assassination Nation, premiered across the United States. They remembered to keep in the “horror,” but left out most of the “comedy,” and that is all right with us! A thoroughly modern comment on human nature in the age of social media and computers, a group of suburban high school girls is the center of the drama created when an unknown hacker starts releasing everyone’s secret texts, emails, and downloads. A “Purge” like scenario develops where bloodthirsty, offended, hypocritical citizens are out to avenge those people found to be engaged…
