On May 16, 2025, Final Destination Bloodlines was released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures. The sixth film in the franchise, Bloodlines will not disappoint and may indeed be the best film in the entire franchise.
Digging Deeper
Fans of Final Destination must make this movie a must see, and for fans of Tony Todd, horror movie icon, this film is the last chance to see this fine actor on the screen as he died on November 6, 2024, at the too young age of 69. With a superior cast and able directing by the team of Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, the story flows logically and and with enough horror action to keep the audience riveted to the screen.
With a running time of 110 minutes, the film has already pulled in a credible $273.8 million on a budget of only $50 million. For those movie fans enamored of soundtracks, Bloodlines features a superior selection of major hit songs by performers as diverse as CCR,, Kelly Clarkson, Bobbie Gentry, Air Supply, Johnny Cash, Connie Francis, Rupert Holmes, Norman Greenbaum, the Isley Brothers and even a heavy metal selection by Evile.
A critical as well as box office success, Bloodlines earned a commendable 92% positive critic’s rating from Rotten Tomatoes. We strongly recommend this film even if you have not seen the other films in the franchise, though of course seeing the previous five movies first is preferable.
