A Brief History
On April 28, 1973, Pink Floyd’s album, The Dark Side of the Moon, made it to the top of the Billboard Charts, and went on to spend a record-breaking run of 741 weeks on the charts. Still one of the biggest selling albums of all time, The Dark Side of the Moon deserves serious consideration as the greatest record album of all time.

We invite your opinion as to which album deserves the top spot, and here we list a few contenders, although picking a single winner is not easy!

The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967).
The Moody Blues- Days of Future Passed (1967)
The Beatles- Abbey Road (1969).
Bruce Springsteen- Born to Run (1975).
Creedence Clearwater Revival – Chronicle (1976).
Eagles – Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) (1976).
Fleetwood Mac – Rumours (1977).
Various- Saturday Night Fever (1977).
Michael Jackson – Thriller (1982).
Note: Our personal preference/bias is obviously at play in our list, which is why we encourage you to tell us your own opinion and not necessarily rely on our suggestions. Obviously, other genres of music that we might not be familiar with deserve consideration.
